Lawfield is pleased to be hosting its annual Terry Fox Run / Walk on Friday, October 6. Students will be participating by walking or running in one of three blocks during the day.
We are calling this a “Toonies for Terry” event. We are asking students to make a $2 donation that will be collected and forwarded to the Terry Fox Foundation for further cancer research. Donations can also be made through School Cash Online.
All students are encouraged to participate in this activity even if they cannot donate at this time. By taking part in this event, we proudly honour Terry’s spirit and perseverance and contribute to our local community.
We thank you for your support.
To help us understand how our respiratory system works, we built these lung models. The plastic bottle is the chest, the ziploc bag is the diaphragm, and the balloon is the lungs. When we pull down the bag (diaphragm), the balloon (lungs) fill up. When we push up the bag (diaphragm), the balloon (lungs) empties.
